Acton’s Story

The reason we started Acton was for the same reason you start something new: we thought we could do things better. We kept hearing once-promising young entrepreneurs say, years after they’d gotten their MBAs, that school hadn’t adequately prepared them for the great game of business. (If anything, they’d say it actually made their game worse.)

But talk is cheap—listen to what Acton students have to say.

The school’s named in honor of Lord John Emerich Edward Dahlberg Acton (1834-1902). Lord Acton saw liberty not as a license, but as the freedom to do what was right. He was suspicious about power for the sake of power, which led to his most famous quote: “Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.”

Acton MBA in Entreprenuership is offered through Universidad Francisco Marroquín.
